Health Awareness Pursuits

The Afro-Asian Institute has been a vanguard especially when it comes to raising awareness on streaming health topics. In July 2021, a medical camp was organised by the Afro-Asian Institute Health Society which included the dissemination of free medicines among the students and  deserving persons of our vicinity. There were free of cost lab tests for thalassemia and complete blood counts, free of cost assessment/diagnoses of the ear, eyes, physical therapy  and blood donation services. The 10th October, 2021 was celebrated as Mental Health Awareness Day through a holding a mental health Awareness Walk and Poster Presentation portraying various psychological ailments prevailing in the society. Similarly, in August 2021, the National Nutritional Awareness Seminar was organised by the Department of Human Nutrition & Dietetics of Afro-Asian Institute in which the students were entertained by Guest Speakers from Nestle, Lahore.  A food competition was also organised by the Department of Human Nutrition & Dietetics, Afro-Asian Institute in which the students prepared healthy food recipes along with the brochures. Later on, these food recipes won huge appreciation in a national level food competition.
